Mrs. Hildebrand's Kindergarten Classes
ABOUT Mrs. Tanya Hildebrand
I am so excited to be spending the year with all of you! I can't wait to get to know you. I may not be that mysterious but if you are like me, I would like to know a bit about the person who is spending the day with my child! I am mother, wife, teacher, a crafter, a gardener, a reader, a coach, a writer, a lover of sweet tea, a baker, a traveler, a Marine, and I love all things creative.

I am 49 years old, and that number just keeps growing. I was born in the south but raised just south of us in Lewiston, Idaho. After graduation I joined the United States Marine Corps and retired after spending many years in California, South Carolina, Virginia, and Okinawa, Japan. I have lived here in the Coeur d'Alene area for the past 11 plus years. I attended LCSC and received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2018. I taught Kindergarten at Frederick Post Kindergarten the first two years, and I loved every minute of it. In 2020, I taught online Kindergarten to the Post Falls School District students and Extended Reading Intervention (ERI) in the afternoon at Mullan Trail Elementary. In 2021, I taught AM Kindergarten and PM ERI at Mullan Trail Elementary. In 2022, we started full day Kindergarten in our state and last year we changed to the 4-day school week. I have taught some form of Kindergarten for the past 6 years and I have loved all 246+ of your children that I have taught!
I am married and enjoy spending time with my amazing husband and best friend, Randy. He is a father of two in their thirties plus, a grandfather to three, a retired Marine, has a green thumb, and loves to bake the most wonderful treats ever.
I have two beautiful children of my own, my son in 10th grade and my daughter in 9th grade. My kids are everything to me just as I know yours are to you. We love adventures, learning, and staying active. We spend a lot of family time at sports, exploring, and in our community. One of our favorite vacations was a long road trip to visit family, friends, and some of our great National Parks. The national treasures we visited were the St. Louis Arch, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands. This year I got to visit Alaska, we saw glaciers and our 49th State with my family.
I adopted one of our 2019 class pets, a water frog named Bailey.

I truly look forward to getting to know you, your kindergartner(s), and your family this year. If you EVER have any questions...please don't hesitate to contact me. WE are a team and in this together.
